Your hosts Bill Wilson, Carter Clews, and Larry Ward start the week off with an intense look at the weekend happenings, including accounts of hundreds of young people looting stores, breaking into indoor shopping malls and battling with police overnight Sunday into Monday in the city’s central downtown business district. The reason? Well ... the reason for the unrest, according to several looters who spoke to The Washington Post on Monday, were reports alleging a police-involved killing of a Black man on the city’s South Side late Sunday afternoon. But, police said those accounts were misinformation spread across social media that appeared to encourage people to head downtown to create violence. Just one more instance where BLM means less about the righteous cause to provide African Americans with liberty and more about free television sets.
