Welcome to Washington Expose, the only podcast in America that wears a tinfoil hat to protect itself from conspiracy theories rather than attract them. You’re in for a big treat today on this special and extended edition of Washington Expose as we welcome guest host Dr. Larry Hunter who helps us understand the psychology behind the pandemic and what it means in the big picture in America. Dr. Hunter is a senior fellow with the Institute for Global Economic Growth and President of the Social Security Institute. Dr. Hunter experiences stretch back to the 103rd and 104th Congresses, where he served on the staff of the Joint Economic Committee, first as Republican Staff Director and later as the Chief Economic Advisor to the Vice-Chairman.  While there, Dr. Hunter was the lead staffer in charge of putting together the economic growth and tax-cut components of the Contract With America.

With America well into its share of the pandemic, Dr. Hunter puts it in a multi-phase perspective as a “meta-conspiracy” that’s akin to a hydra-headed monster that’s hard to capture.  Speaking of conspiracies, the fellas cut through the conspiracy theory name-calling of the left and provides real talk about the psychology of sleeper cells and their activation as a result of the pandemic, en masse, to seize control of America’s freedoms. Dr. Hunter shares with us a compelling quote from French political scientist and historian Alex de Tocqueville that clearly lays out the left’s game plan before, during and after the pandemic -- and, why America is in such a dangerous place right now.  

To get a sense of what Dr. Hunter discusses, here’s Tocqueville's quote, “Power is absolute, minute, regular, provident and mild...For their [citizens’] happiness such a government willingly labors, but it chooses to be the sole agent and the only arbiter of that happiness; it provides for their security, foresees and supplies their necessities, facilitates their pleasures, manages their principal concerns, directs their industry, regulates the descent of property, and subdivides their inheritances: what remains, but to spare them all the care of thinking and all the trouble of living?”

The fellas speak of the efficacy of President Donald J. Trump during the pandemic and not surprisingly, end up at loggerheads on some of the finer points brought up. To wrap up the show, the fellas provide a well-crafted summation of what America is facing for the future, how dangerous a place in which we are heading, and what can be done to avoid it.
