With President Donald Trump in attendance, Oklahoma State's Wyatt Hendrickson, a second lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force, defeated Minnesota's Gable Steveson 5-4 in the heavyweight final Saturday night at the NCAA men's wrestling championships.
Hendrickson scored a takedown in the final minute to pull off the massive upset of Steveson, who was seeking his third national title and was on a 70-match win streak. It was the only takedown Steveson, an Olympic gold medalist, had scored against him all season.
Following the victory, Hendrickson saluted Trump:
