Several of the officials who pushed for the raid on former President Donald Trump's residence in Florida played key roles in the bogus Crossfire Hurricane investigation in which they alleged Trump was literally a Russian agent, Trump White House intelligence adviser Kash Patel said.

By mounting a counterintelligence investigation for the raid on Mar-a-Lago, they could prevent the release of declassified documents they sought which may have detailed their involvement in a years-long operation that undermined the administration of an incoming U.S. president who may run again in 2024, he said.

In an interview on Fox News's "Sunday Morning Futures" with Maria Bartiromo, former House Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes and Patel laid out the history of DOJ and FBI corruption which took form in the Obama era and named some of the top players.

Patel pointed to the people who use the weaponized DOJ to create “ongoing investigation” document blocks, including John Carlin, Mary McCord, Lisa Monaco, Jake Sullivan, and Susan Rice.

The Conservative Treehouse noted: "Again, same names in Obama administration, exit then return with Biden administration; it’s the same continuum.

"From Eric Holder and Robert Mueller’s, Fast n Furious gun running operation (08/’09); to the DOJ use of the IRS for targeting (Lois Lerner, Eric Holder ’10, ’11); to the 19 days it took the FBI to reach Benghazi (’12); to the DOJ/FBI using NSA databases for surveillance (2012-2016); to the Crossfire Hurricane operation (Yates/Lynch ’16); to Robert Mueller resurfacing (’17, ’18, ’19); to the DOJ targeting Trump now (’20, ’21, ’22); it has all been one long continuum since the DOJ-NSD was formed."
