Analysis by Leesa K. Donner, LibertyNation.com

Something is seriously wrong with Joe Biden. His inexplicable behaviors, which previously have included sniffing the hair of young ladies and forgetting the name of the president under which he served, now incorporate the baffling campaign strategy of verbally abusing potential voters.

As has been widely reported, Biden has been denigrating and demeaning voters with a plethora of insulting remarks. Even if these comments were made in jest, they demonstrate poor taste at best and a mean spirit at worst.

The former VP unloaded on an Iowa voter, calling him “a damn liar,” challenged the man to a push-up contest, and then called him fat. He told another to “go vote for someone else,” and his latest foray into what can only be called “Mean Joe” syndrome included labeling a young woman a “lying, dog-faced pony soldier.” That line was taken from a Tyrone Power flick. If you’ve never heard of Power, don’t worry – neither have millions of Americans under the age of 60. The last movie the silver screen idol ever made was back in 1955. Hollywood researchers inform us that the film to which Biden referred was Pony Soldier, made in 1952. It’s doubtful you can even find that one on Netflix.

It could also be that Biden is channeling Dean Wormer from the classic 1978 film Animal House: “Fat, drunk, and stupid is no way to go through life, son.” Maybe he’s saving that little beauty for his next campaign stop where there will be “no malarkey.” Speaking of movies, maybe we should go further back to 1939. That’s when The Wizard of Oz debuted. Surely Biden remembers the Scarecrow’s lament: If I only had a brain.

If you are not yet convinced that the 77-year-old’s marbles are scrambled, then listen to what he said as he lit into those who support the Second Amendment:

“Those who say ‘the tree of liberty is watered with the blood of patriots’ – a great line, well, guess what: The fact is if you’re going to take on the government you need an F-15 with Hellfire Missiles. There is no way an AK-47 is going to take care of you if you’re worried about the government coming and knocking down your door.”

Open aggression, attacking individual voters, abusive name-calling, and taunting people with guns: All this leads to the question of Biden’s mental stability. Are we seeing the rising edges of the “crotchety old man syndrome,” or is this a harbinger of something more medically sinister lurking in Biden’s brain? That all-important gray matter is something that has caused Biden all sorts of problems – including two aneurysms. Liberty Nation’s Lorraine Silvetz, MSW, who has worked in the field of psychiatry and mental health, proffered:

“Joe Biden’s recent aggressive outbursts with voters is concerning. He exhibits a lack of self-control, which can be indicative of compromised executive function. Given he underwent two surgeries for aneurysms and add to it his advanced age, it would not be a surprise he was cognitively compromised. As well, it is hard to ignore Biden’s signs of cognitive decline when he loses orientation to time, place, or president of the United States. Time, place, and knowledge of common facts are the first questions of any mental status exam. Of course, when we see this in political appearances, mental health professionals worry.”

With the encouragement of the Democrats, media have spilled a lot of ink about Donald Trump’s mental fitness for the office of the presidency. It’s been a near-constant theme that included talk of invoking the 25th Amendment to remove him from office. But given Biden’s words and actions, one must question whether the mental or neurological decline rests with Biden, and it is he, rather than Trump, for whom the bell tolls.
