Democrat Katie Hobbs busted out into laughter during her swearing in ceremony when asked if she would swear to uphold the U.S. Constitution, reports say.
"As she did at the certification ceremony to sign off on her own election on Dec. 5, Hobbs chuckled and looked like a fool as she raised her right hand to take her Oath," The Gateway Pundit's Jordan Conradson noted.
A press and research official for Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey tweeted that Hobbs "was unable to take the oath of office without stammering and laughing through it."
Hobbs also banned the media from the swearing in ceremony. Stacey Barchenger, a reporter at the Arizona Republic, said that the newspaper “asked repeatedly to be allowed in, but the Hobbs admin is allowing only a single photographer from [the Associated Press].”
Hobbs was declared the winner in the Arizona race for governor over Kari Lake by about 17,000 votes.
Lake's election lawsuit was dismissed on Dec.24 by Maricopa County Superior Court Judge Peter Thompson. Lake filed a Petition for Special Action last week in the Arizona Court of Appeals, arguing the trial court dismissed “explosive findings.”
"During her swearing-in ceremony, @katiehobbs laughed and giggled throughout what was supposed to be a dignified process, and refused to say that she would support our Constitution," Lake tweeted from her "Kari Lake War Room" account. "Everyone enjoy your Banana Republic. And pray that a brave judge puts an end to this charade."
In a follow-up tweet, Lake claimed, Hobbs's swearing-in was "one of the darkest moments in the history of Arizona," but she added, "It's always darkest before the dawn."
"We will expose this fraud for the world to see," Lake wrote. "Justice is coming."
