FBI stats: 'Blunt objects' killed more people in U.S. than all rifles
More people in the United States in 2017 were killed with “blunt objects” such as hammers and clubs than with rifles of any kind, according to FBI crime statistics. Financier Jeffrey Epstein died Saturday morning in an apparent suicide in his Manhattan jail cell as he was awaiting trial on sex-trafficking charges, according to law-enforcement officials and reports in the Wall Street Journal and the British press.
